SEISMIC VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT OF EXISTING RC MULTISTORY BUILDINGS
    In this study, the nonlinear static (pushover) analysis has been performed with the improved capacity spectrum method according to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA 440). The seismic performance of the building models were evaluated based on the nonlinear static analysis results. In the analysis the building models were subjected to seismic acceleration hazard specified for Duhok city in terms of mapped spectral response acceleration parameters ss and s1 as 0.6g and 0.2g respectively for 2475 years return period. In addition, the fragility curves were developed based on the results of pushover analysis for all building models. The average discrete probabilities for reaching or exceeding certain damage state for the building models have been estimated as well.
