HA LONG BAY - TWICE HONORED BY UNESCO AS A WORLD NATURAL HERITAGE SITE
- Ha Long Bay is a coastal archipelago situated in the northeast of Vietnam. This region is globally renowned for its stunning seascape and holds immense potential for tourism development, featuring breathtaking natural landscapes and unique, typical ecosystems. It falls within the jurisdiction of Quang Ninh province, extending northwest and north from Yen Hung district, through Ha Long City, Cam Pha town, to the entire sea and island area of Van Don district. To the east and south, it borders the Gulf of Tonkin; to the southwest, it meets Cat Ba Island (Hai Phong City).
- The beauty of the bay is created by three elements: rock, water, and sky. Approximately 1,969 limestone islands of various shapes and sizes, covered in lush greenery, emerge amidst the deep blue waters, providing Ha Long Bay with a majestic and unique charm. It is also a witness to the changes in the Earth's developmental history.
